On With Life Foundation Mission
Supporting On With Life’s network of brain injury rehabilitation programs helping persons served to get on with their lives.The On With Life Foundation was established in 1992 to ensure that each person served has the equipment, services, and environment necessary to maximize their rehabilitation potential. We know that by providing compassionate, dignified care for each person served, we build an atmosphere of confidence and trust that allows everyone who is part of the program to get "on with life".
The On With Life Foundation helps On With Life provide excellent rehabilitation, long-term and community based services to persons with brain injury by leading fundraising activities on behalf of those whom we are privileged to serve.
Because the financial needs outweigh the funds available, the Foundation chooses to provide support to projects, programs and individual needs that truly make a difference.
Through the generosity of its donors, the On With Life Foundation continues to change lives. Here are just a few examples:
● A specialized wheelchair with a customized seating system and headrest that provides ideal positioning and maximizes a person’s ability to participate in rehabilitation programming.
● Augmentative communication devices, such as our new computerized eye blink system, allowing Persons Served to express their needs and interests through the use of technology that provides synthesized voicing.
● Electronic lift transfers promote the safety of the persons served and protect staff members in frequent bed-to-wheelchair transfers.
● Comfort items such as blanket warmers that enhance the rehabilitation experience for individuals whose bodies are not able to adequately regulate their temperatures.
