As a leader in brain injury rehabilitation, it’s important for On With Life to have the latest equipment and environments in place to successfully transition persons served back to their homes and communities. A new agricultural exploration area as part of the developing 1.5 acres of therapeutic grounds will allow On With Life to work with persons served in an outdoor setting where rehabilitation will feel more like real-life and less like therapy. Polk County Farm Bureau, Iowa Farm Bureau and FBL Financial Group contributed a collective $30,000 in support of the farming area.
“Individualized, functional therapy which changes lives is our number one goal at On With Life, and integrating the persons served home environment into the rehabilitation process is vital to their success,” said Julie Fidler Dixon, chief executive officer of On With Life. “We serve many farmers, and we are excited to partner with Farm Bureau on this area, which will help those whom we are privileged to serve get back on with their life.”
