CARF International announced that On With Life, Inc. has been accredited for a period of three years for its brain injury programs, stating that “On With Life provides a unique and critical resource to this region of the country – the program puts significant resources into staying current in the field of brain injury and ensuring that staff has access to ongoing evidence-based learning opportunities.” This is the seventh consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to the On With Life continuum of services.
The three year accreditation includes the following programs:
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
“On With Life, Inc. is committed to improving the lives of the persons we serve and we honored to be recognized by CARF for the level of care we provide,” said Julie Fidler Dixon, executive director for On With Life. “As one of only a few inpatient brain injury rehabilitation programs in the world outside of a hospital accredited by CARF, On With Life, Inc. continues to demonstrate its dedication to those living with brain injury and enriching the lives of those whom we are privileged to serve.”
Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.
