Congratulations to Alissa Fastenau, Certified Nursing Assistant in our Post-Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation program, for being named an On With Life (OWL) Achievement Award winner! Alissa was introduced to On With Life nine years ago when her brother was a person served in our Post-Acute Inpatient program, and it was at that point that she wanted to give back. She felt On With Life was a very special place saying, "The mission is a gift, not only to the people we serve, but to employees as well." Thank you, Alissa, for your continued dedication to the people we serve and your passion to advocate for those living with brain injury. "I know first-hand what it takes for a person served and their family to feel like their world has been turned upside down from a brain injury. Nine years ago my brother entered this amazing place as a person served, and I was able to see the compassion, commitment and extreme amount of patience to help him be successful. When I became an On With Life employee I realized the mission is a gift to staff as well. Our mission is the heart of the organization - it's what allows us to be so unique, provide the best quality care and get persons served "On With Life".
