Keynote Speaker: Dr. Ergun Uc, MD is involved in all aspects of the care of Parkinson's disease (PD) patients including deep brain stimulation (DBS), as well dystonia (botulinum toxin injections, DBS), essential tremor (DBS), Huntington's disease, and other movement disorders. His research focuses primarily on Parkinson's disease and he has received research support as a principal investigator from the National Institutes of Health (Prediction of Driver Safety in Parkinson's disease-R01), Department of Veterans Affairs (Driver Rehabilitation in PD, Effects of Aerobic Exercise in PD-both Merit Review awards), as well as American Parkinson Disease Association and Parkinson's Disease Foundation. He also has conducted research on driving in Huntington's disease. Jessica Schroeder, RDN, LD is the Owner and CEO of Expedition Wellness, a local Woman-owned nutrition consulting business that improves the health of our clients by providing personalized nutrition plans, lifestyle coaching and an accountability partnership to reach their wellness goals effectively and efficiently. Established in 2019, Expedition Wellness has quickly grown from one person to six (four of those being dietitians), one location to three ( West Des Moines, Ankeny, and West Liberty), all through a world-wide Pandemic, and they are just getting started! In the first three years of business, Expedition Wellness has helped 100s of people in our community and around the country live healthier lives.
Outside of owning a thriving business, Jessica is a mom to two kids (Brayden & Zoey) she is an avid marathon runner, world traveler, and outdoors woman always looking for her next adventure.
Emily Summerfield is an occupational therapist who has worked at On With Life for five years and has practiced in neurorehabilitation for six years. Emily received her graduate/undergraduate degrees at College of Saint Mary in Omaha, NE. She is a certified brain injury specialist and certified LSVT clinician. Emily is a team member of the complex concussion committee at On With Life.
Kate Thompson has worked for On With Life Coralville for two years. She has been practicing Occupational Therapy for five years with a primary focus on person’s served with neurological diagnoses. She completed her Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2016 and Bachelors of Psychology in 2014. While working as an occupational therapist, Kate has had the pleasure to treat person’s served in inpatient rehab, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings. Kate has additional certifications as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and LSVT.

Paula Duve is a licensed physical therapist who has served at On With Life since 2018. She received her undergraduate degree in Health and Human Physiology at the University of Iowa before completing her doctorate in physical therapy at Des Moines University. She worked in the Ankeny inpatient program at On With Life for nearly 2 years before transitioning to the outpatient program in Coralville. Paula is a certified brain injury specialist through the Brain Injury Association of America and is a LSVT-BIG certified clinician.
Chandler Yokley is a licensed speech language pathologist who has served at On With Life since 2018. She received her undergraduate degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders and her graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Northern Iowa. Chandler is an ASHA member, Certiﬁed Brain Injury Specialist and is a LSVT-LOUD certiﬁed clinician

Attorney Cynthia Letsch is an Iowa native who obtained her undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Drake University Law School, in 1995, graduating from both universities with honors. In addition to her elder law and estate planning practice, her legal career includes eight years of teaching at the university level, and five years corporate counsel.
Her current office opened in 2013, and the practice is limited to Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Probate/Trust Administration. She is a frequent speaker on topics of Estate Planning and asset preservation; Medicaid for the Elderly; Medicaid Financial Risk Management for Care Facilities; and Fiduciary Responsibilities of Agents under Powers of Attorney, Guardians, Conservators, and Trustees. Speaking engagements include: Alzheimer’s Association Brain Works Conference, Parkinson’s Foundation workshops; Iowa Association of Long Term Care Social Workers; workshops for both attorneys and licensed insurance providers qualifying for continuing education credit according to standards set by the Iowa Supreme Court and Iowa Insurance Commission (in addition to workshops facilitated by various senior housing and assisted living communities, and workshops offered directly through the firm).

Tammy Miller has worked at On With Life for 18 years and is entering her 25th year as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She obtained her Masters in Health Science with Emphasis in Leadership in 2018. While at On With Life Tammy has had the opportunity to work in the inpatient rehabilitation program as a certified occupational therapy assistant, in the case management department as the admission coordinator and is currently heading the outpatient program as the director of outpatient for both the Ankeny and Coralville locations. She has additional certifications as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer and Certified Case Manager and is a CARF Surveyor.
Gail McGaughy has been a Physical Therapist for 24 years with emphasis and specialty in neurological disorders. Gail worked in Inpatient Rehab for 15 years and Outpatient Neuro Rehab at On With Life since 2012. As a certified LSVT BIG provider, member of the Parkinson’s Committee at On With Life and board member for the Iowa Chapter of APDA, Gail has a keen interest in the treatment and wellbeing of Parkinson’s patients through the lifespan from early diagnosis to end stage Parkinson’s. Gail and staff have committed their time, energy, and efforts to be the provider of choice for persons with PD and their care-partners. Gail is also certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), Lymphedema Treatment (CLT) and Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). Gail has also provided various lectures and CEU opportunities in NDT for Adult Hemiplegia in IA, IL and WI.
