Meet the Speakers!

Gail McGaughy has been a physical therapist for 25 years with emphasis and a specialty in neurological disorders. Gail worked in Inpatient Rehab for 15 years and Outpatient Neuro Rehab at On With Life since 2012. As a certified LSVT BIG provider and member of the Parkinson’s Committee at On With Life, Gail has a keen interest in the treatment of Parkinson’s through the lifespan from early diagnosis to end stage Parkinson’s. Gail and staff have committed their time, energy, and efforts to be the provider of choice for persons with PD and their care-partners. Gail serves as the secretary on the Iowa Chapter of American Parkinson’s Disease Association Board. Gail is also certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), Lymphedema Treatment (CLT) and Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). Gail has also provided various lectures and CEU opportunities in NDT for Adult Hemiplegia in IA, IL and WI.

Dr. Rebecca Gilbert is the Chief Scientific Officer at American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA). She is responsible for overseeing APDA’s research portfolio in conjunction with APDA’s Scientific Advisory Board. She also provides medical and clinical expertise to support APDA programming, web content and publications. Dr. Gilbert is a movement disorders neurologist and maintains a practice one day a week in New York City.

Chandler Yokley is a licensed speech language pathologist who has served at On With Life since 2018. She received her undergraduate degree in Communicative Sciences and Disorders and her graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Northern Iowa. She has worked in the Ankeny outpatient program at On With Life for five and a half years. Chandler is an ASHA member, Certified Brain Injury Specialist and is a LSVT-LOUD certified clinician. 

Cynthia Letsch is an Iowa native who obtained her undergraduate degree at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from Drake University Law School, in 1995, graduating from both universities with honors. Her legal career includes private practice, eight years of teaching at the university level, and serving as corporate counsel. Her current office opened in 2013, and the practice is limited to Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Probate/Trust Administration. She is a frequent speaker on topics of Estate Planning and asset preservation: Medicaid for the Elderly; Medicaid Financial Risk Management for Care Facilities, and Fiduciary Responsibilities of Agents under Powers of Attorney, Guardians, Conservators, and Trustees. Admitted to practice in Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, and the Federal Southern District of Iowa and Federal District of Nebraska, she is a member of the Iowa Bar Association Probate and Trust Section and Elder Law Section; Missouri Bar Association Probate and Trust Section, Elder Law Section, Nebraska Bar Association Probate and Trust Section, Elder Law Section, the Dallas County Bar Association; National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; Elder Counsel; and Wealth Counsel. Cynthia is also a VA accredited attorney.

Sue Sandahl graduated from the University of St. Catherine in St. Paul, Minnesota, in 1998 with a master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. Over the last 26 years, she has worked in multiple settings including skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, long-term acute care, outpatient pediatric, and outpatient adult clinics. Sue has been at On With Life for 8 years working with persons served in the outpatient department and serves on the Parkinson’s Disease committee, and is a member of the Iowa Falls Prevention Coalition. Although she was born small and quiet, her co-workers describer her as cool, fun, and eccentric.

Kristen Conway is a licensed speech-language pathologist who has served at On With Life’s outpatient clinic in Coralville three years. She received both her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Northern Iowa in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Kristen has been a practicing clinician for five years with background in skilled nursing and home health, and his CBIS and LSVT certified.

Maren Tuttle is a speech-language pathologist at the On With Life outpatient clinic, in Ankeny, IA. She graduated with her undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa and her graduate degree from the University of Central Missouri. She is certified in LSVT LOUD and CBIS. She was also involved in the the Fiberoptic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) training that was provided in the Spring of 2023. She has been actively involved in working with the Parkinson's disease population in the areas of cognition, voice, and swallowing. She is passionate on providing education to person-served and family members about Parkinson's disease and its impacts.
