Meet the Speakers!

Christa Freeman CTRS, CBIS has been a certified recreational therapist at On With Life for just over one year. She graduated from The Northwest Missouri State University and has a passion in assisting individuals with achieving leisure goals, whatever they may be.

Kenzie Wyble CTRS has been a certified recreational therapist at On With Life for three years. She graduated from The Northwest Missouri State University and has a passion in assisting individuals with achieving leisure goals, whatever they may be.

Haley Rhamy has worked with individuals with brain injuries for over seven years. She began her career working for six years in the Glenwood Resource Center’s Day Services Department in recreational and vocational services before joining On With Life’s Long-Term Program as a therapeutic activities specialist. She is passionate about working with individuals with different abilities and brain injuries, and enjoys being able to emphasize the quality of one’s life through community outings, group sessions, hydrotherapy or one-on-one interactions.

Paula Duve PT, DPT, CBIS, CSRS is a licensed physical therapist who has served at On With Life since 2018. She received her undergraduate degree in Health and Human Physiology at the University of Iowa before completing her doctorate in physical therapy at Des Moines University. She worked in the Ankeny inpatient program at On With Life for nearly 2 years before transitioning to the outpatient program in Coralville. Paula is a certified brain injury specialist through the Brain Injury Association of America and is a LSVT-BIG certified clinician.

Joanna Judd MA, CCC-SLP, CBIS is an Iowa licensed speech-language pathologist and has worked at On With Life since 2017. Joanna received her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Northern Iowa. Joanna is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and is a member of On With Life’s Outpatient Complex Concussion committee.

Hope Yates DPT has been a physical therapist at On With Life since 2022. She received her Bachelor of Kinesiology from Iowa State University, followed by her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Iowa.

Laura Wehrli PT, DPT, NCS is the Director of Physical Therapy at Craig Hospital in Englewood, CO. Laura began her career at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY in 2000 before moving to Colorado in 2004 where she continued to pursue her passion for SCI rehab at Craig.  Laura became a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) in 2016 and was a regular presenter with Spinal Cord Injury Seminars, Inc for 15 years. She is currently an associated faculty member for the University of Colorado PT program. Laura serves as the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals’ (ASCIP) Program Committee Chair and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Lindsay Vaux Eldredge MS, CBIST received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in biology from the University of Iowa. She completed her Master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of Utah with an emphasis in neuropsychology. Lindsay has been serving brain injury survivors for 14 years. She has been working at On With Life for over 8 years, where she provides psychological services to inpatient persons served and their families. 

Dave Anders MS, CCC-SLP, CBIST-AP is an Iowa licensed speech language pathologist who has been practicing in the field of brain injury rehabilitation for 25 years. He has been a certified brain injury specialist since 2004 and a certified brain injury specialist trainer since 2012. Dave is a member of Brain Injury Alliance of Iowa’s Board of Directors and has presented both regionally and nationally on a wide range of topics related to acquired brain injury.

Josie Krause CBIS received her bachelor’s degree in health and human physiology from the University of Iowa. She has worked at On With Life for seven years, serving in three of the organization’s different programs. She started in the Supported Community Living program for two years before transitioning to a Residential Supervisor role at On With Life’s Residential Neuro Rehabilitation home. In 2022, she switched roles again and currently serves on the case management team as a social worker.

Erin Meyer received her bachelor’s degree in social work at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. She then worked as a discharge planner in a hospital for 13 years before transitioning to On With Life, where she has worked as a social worker for three years.

Ryan Blumer DPT, CBIS has been a physical therapist at On With Life since 2018. He is a graduate of Central College in Pella, Iowa, and Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. He enjoys the opportunity to improve people's quality of life following significant injuries.

Gail McGaughy PT, C/NDT, CLT, CBIS has been a Physical Therapist for 25 years with emphasis and specialty in neurological disorders. Gail worked in Inpatient Rehab for 15 years and Outpatient Neuro Rehab at On With Life since 2012. As a certified LSVT BIG provider, member of the Parkinson’s Committee at On With Life and board member for the Iowa Chapter of APDA, Gail has a keen interest in the treatment and wellbeing of Parkinson’s patients through the lifespan from early diagnosis to end stage Parkinson’s. Gail and staff have committed their time, energy, and efforts to be the provider of choice for persons with PD and their care-partners. Gail is also certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT), Lymphedema Treatment (CLT) and Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS). Gail has also provided various lectures and CEU opportunities in NDT for Adult Hemiplegia in IA, IL and WI.

Jeremy Davis has been serving as a therapeutic recreation specialist for over ten years at On With Life’s Long-Term Program in Glenwood. He is passionate about serving this community and being a part of some of the most creative and innovative long-term care in the state. He also enjoys being able to work alongside Boo, the Long-Term program’s therapy dog.
