Happy Holidays from all of us at On With Life! We had so much to celebrate this year - here are this year's top 10 moments! 

10. CARF Accreditation

After spending time at On With Life this year, CARF International announced that On With Life has been accredited for a period of three years for its brain injury and stroke programs. Learn more about this accreditation here.

9. Helmet Campaign

In 2022 we combined our passion for helmet safety with our awareness efforts for Brain Injury Awareness Month. We held a Facebook contest and ended the month by delivering over 100 helmets to the winner - Heritage Elementary School!

8. Staff Recognition - Paula Forty Under 40

Our staff do a lot of cool things and are often recognized in different ways for their accomplishments. This year we were able to celebrate Paula Duve with a big accomplishment - being named the Corridor Business Journal's Forty Under 40! 

7. Creative Therapy Experiences

Our therapists are always coming up with innovative and creative ways to deliver therapy, and these two events were some of our favorites this year: the RAGBRAI event in Ankeny and the slip and slide in Glenwood! 

6. Welcoming Back Volunteers

In 2022, we finally got to welcome volunteers back to all three campuses this year! If you are interested in volunteering at On With Life, you can learn more and inquire on our website!

5. Successful Foundation Events

On With Life held fundraising events in Coralville, Glenwood and Ankeny to support programming, and all three events exceeded our goals! We love these opportunities to connect with our communities while also supporting our persons served and staff. 

4. Groundbreaking for New Outpatient Building

In the spring of 2022, we broke ground on the new outpatient building. We were able to celebrate with staff, board members and the community with a groundbreaking event in May!

3. Return to In-Person Support Groups

After two years of virtual support groups, this year we started to bring back in-person options! We also introduced some new groups, such as aphasia group and the Iowa neuro survivor support group. Learn more about support group opportunities at onwithlife.org/supportgroups

2. Top Workplace

For the 10th time, On With Life was recognized as a Des Moines Register Top Workplace! We celebrated with a special video about the top reasons to work at On With Life - check it out!

And finally, the top moment from this year.... reaching our goal for the capital campaign! We shared this exciting announcement at this year's Celebrate Life event. A big thank you to all who helped us accomplish this goal!
