At On With Life, we believe in family. So when a person served and his fiancé couldn't wait any longer to be married, we were thrilled to help them start their life together!

Mike Cooper, a person served in On With Life’s inpatient program in Ankeny, married his now wife in On With Life’s chapel on June 23, 2021. When Mike came to On With Life he was only able to move his eyes up and down, but that didn’t stop him from saying “I do.” Mike surprised his wife Stacy by sharing his wedding vows by using a communication device controlled by his eyes, something he had been working on with his speech pathologist, Megan Ihrke.
