Urge Congress to Support the Bill to End Parkinson’s Disease!

On July 28, 2022, the U.S. House of Representatives introduced the first-ever legislation solely devoted to ending Parkinson’s disease. The National Plan to End Parkinson's Act (H.R.8585) aims to unite the federal government with private enterprise to accomplish the following:

  • Prevent and cure Parkinson's disease
  • Alleviate the financial and health burdens Parkinson's disease puts on families
  • Ensure those living with Parkinson's have access to needed care

This bill will go through the traditional congressional process and will need to be voted on by the House. To make this happen, your Representative in the U.S. House needs to hear from you! Please send an email asking them to show their support for this bill by becoming a co-sponsor. I am writing to you to urge you to become a co-sponsor of HR8585, the National Plan to End Parkinson's Act, introduced in the House by Paul Tonko on July 28, 2022. I would also hope you would support this bill when it comes up for a vote.

Having been diagnosed with Parkinson's on (your specific date), I can tell you that the disease is life-changing, Currently I am experiencing (list stuff your body is doing to you, cost of drugs/gym memberships, how it's changed your retirement plans, etc.)
