Spinal Cord Injury

Spinal Cord Injury
Spinal Cord Injury Program
On With Life’s post-acute spinal cord injury program focuses on the individual goals and needs of the person served and family as they begin their new journey following a spinal cord injury. After an acute hospital stay, persons served are able to utilize the services of either our Inpatient or Outpatient programs, or both, depending on the needs of the persons served and family. Our programs utilize the neuro expertise of the entire rehabilitation team, including medical providers, nurses, therapists, social workers, case managers and counselors, to understand each individual’s unique goals and develop a rehabilitation treatment plan that maximizes recovery potential and ongoing success in returning to life roles.

Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation

As specialists in neurological rehabilitation, we know that each injury is unique, with specific needs, capabilities and potential. Therefore, each person served has a treatment plan that is created uniquely for them. The entire rehabilitation team at On With Life works together with the person served and family to develop a treatment plan that meets the goals of those involved. A spinal cord injury can impact many areas of life but the goal of our team is to realize the highest level of recovery possible and support the entire family as life goals are set and achieved.

Meet Our Experts: Sam Williams
On With Life has identified the need for additional post-acute spinal cord injury (SCI) rehabilitation options in Iowa and in response has formed a SCI program development committee. This committee, led by Sam Williams, OTR/L, CBIS, CSRS, spinal cord injury coordinator, has and will continue to enhance offerings in both inpatient and outpatient settings with the goal of becoming an accredited spinal cord injury specialty program.
